  • A graduate of France's Grandes Ecoles D'IngĂ©nieurs, Jacques Stroweis joined the NYIT CG Lab in 1983 and became one of the first computer scientists to transition into mainstream feature film production and contribute to the formation of the early VFX powerhouses, Digital Domain among them. Stroweis holds an Oscar- and Bafa nomination for Best Visual Effects on James Cameron's "True Lies" and helped launch several notable cutting-edge CG developments in feature film including the first human CG speech synthesis and the first application of Nuke, which has since become an industry standard.
