This full-featured film-resolution compositing software launched originally from Wavefront was first made available for the SGI in 1991. Features include lens warping, motion blur, multiprocessor rendering, time distortion, and "True Track" motion tracking. This product is based on scanline compositing algorithms and a data-flow diagram interface, the GUI being similar to modern After Effects. Composer was discontinued in late 2001 in favor of Fusion.
